Teaching Preschool Colors & Shapes with Family Games

My kids can not get enough just to play with Mom and Dad - can you do?

Sometimes we all have a break in the middle of the day and a game together. Most of the time I just make sure that we play so that everyone can enjoy together. I can be so involved in things that I go from one task to another and I forgot to have some 'fun.

Today, after numerous requests from my children, I have one card. Today I want to play in six yearsRyan and three-year-old Maegan. In the past, Maegan sat on my lap and help me with my papers, but today he wanted to be his "team."

"Yes," she said, and put a yellow card on the stack.

Round after round we went with Maegan outstanding color right on it again all alone. Then finally came the time that is not the right color.

"You have a card," I asked, pointing to the large icon in the middle of the map, "which has a circle asthis? "

While I still have my fingers next to the icon, which has passed through every time one card. They carefully examined to determine if they have a "Match" had - and if they found one, put it on the stack.

The game was a great success - especially since he won the first round!

"This is a point for the team," My Little Pony '(as they called their team had): "I congratulated her She beamed with pride that he had won and she did it all alone ...

As I sat thereThe admiration of his performance, I realized how easy it is occasions like this, that the level of education is not found in nature. This game has taken his turn, sorting, colors and shapes.

It 's always a great resource as a parent home schooling for another way to help our children learn and practice what they have learned. Thus, "One away!
